In this cooking class, Chef Karen will guide you through a culinary experience that covers six essential techniques: knife skills, soup making, browning and braising meats, creating pan sauces, roasting root vegetables or smashing potatoes and cooking leafy greens. You'll gain confidence in the kitchen as you master these skills.
Begin with your choice of a light corn chowder or a creamy tomato and lentil soup to perfect your soup-making technique. Then, braise chicken thighs with a savory blend of olives and lemon. For the side, choose between roasted smashed duck fat baby potatoes or roasted root vegetables. End on a sweet note by baking indulgent salted peanut butter chocolate brownies.
Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.
